So I saved my "day 1" post for day 2. Why? Because on day 1 I had a class scheduled for 3 hours, and was in class for a grand total of 15 minutes. The prof went over the course intro and said "Alright I'll see you next week." So it was sort of difficult to judge based on that.
Today wasn't much better though. I had class scheduled from 9:30-10:30 and a tutorial scheduled from 10:30-11:30. The prof was 10 minutes late for class (followed by a whole string of students), kept us in class for about 3o, and cancelled the tutorial. SO - so far my university career (in class) has been fairly slack.
As for the reading and assignments, I'm already getting nervous. I'm used to getting all the year's assignments piled on me at once (I had 4 years of that at AMDEC) but the whole University thing has got me sort of spooked. The fact that the prof. said we'd get 10% on stuff when we got 90s in highschool didn't help. Bah.
Anyways, that's my little update for you. I'll let you know how the rest of the classes this week go...I really wish the profs would start teaching stuff though. It's just putting us farther behind and pushing stuff down the road. Oh well. I'm a first year student - what do I know?

lol.... it's not typically that much of a drop! You know the frosh 15? It's for both weight AND marks!! You drop about 15%. That's what they told me... that's IF you work hard!
Lol...I've heard that too. Let's just say it threw me a bit. But I had my first "teaching" class with him this morning and it went well. He lays out his guidlines fairly well too, so hopefully I'll be okay.
awww Elyse, you worry too much. Every first class is a slack class. It's pretty much a write-off. They just hand out the syllabus and maybe introduce the class and that's about it.
