So this is what's important in our world...

Don't bother trying to watch the news tonight for anything important. Take my word for it. I tried.

Instead of news, I got the scoop on Britney Spears and her new "look" - namely, a bald head and a tattoo. I switched to a different channel, and guess what I got? The same story.

Why do I care about this? Oh right... I don't. And since I DON'T - why is it getting prime time news coverage instead of news that is relevant and important to my life? Not quite sure.

Woohoo for the increasingly superficial world we live in.

On the other hand, it did provide us with a respite from that other ongoing story of earth-shattering importance . . . the death of Anna-Nicole Smith.

Haha, I suppose there's always a silver lining. Still, I think it's sad that news stations are using their Alert! and Breaking News! screens that used to be used for important stuff like hurricane warnings, to now broadcast superficial information on celebs.
